The 75th Hand-rubbed Sencha Competition in Kansai was held on September 7, 2023 at the Uji Tea Distribution Center in Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture.
Our president also participated and made a successful bid for the following tea.

2nd place best winning tea

This product won 2nd place best winning out of 116 regular sencha items exhibited at the 75th Kansai Tea Fair Sencha Division held at the Uji Tea Distribution Center in Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture on September 7, 2023. This is an exhibited tea that has received a high reputation as a tea. Our company has won this tea for 30 consecutive years.
This is a tea with a refreshing tea aroma, rich body and sweetness, produced with great care by Mr. Kazuhiro Nakanishi, Odai Town, Taki District, Mie Prefecture.

The tea that will be exhibited at the fair begins with the preparation of the soil under special consideration for the honor of the producer. Two years after adding organic fertilizer to the soil, cuttings are planted when the soil becomes rich. After that, the tea trees are lovingly nurtured for about three years, and are picked for the first time in the year when the young shoots are growing. Japanese tea values freshness. A dozen experienced hand-pickers pick the grapes in a short period of time, immediately steam them, and dry them while hand-kneading them by hand-kneading masters.
Teas are examined from four points of view: aroma, shape, taste, and color of water. (Perfect score 200points)
This product scored 192 points in all four categories.
Brew it at lower temperatures (70℃). It gives water a golden green color, which is peculiar to deep steamed tealeaves, a thick, sweet aftertaste, and the delightful strong aroma of a tea. Just one sip gives a sense of satisfaction.
This is a blissful tea.
